10 Questions to Ask Before Choosing Celigo
Start With Your Business, Not the Demo
Celigo can connect applications, move data, and automate business processes. A polished demo may still leave important questions unanswered. The real test is whether the platform fits your data, people, controls, and budget.
We conducted this review around ten decisions a buyer can verify. Use the questions before the demo, during the proof of concept, and again when you review the final quote.

1. Which Business Process Are We Fixing?
Start with a named process such as order-to-cash, returns, inventory updates, or payout matching. Define the source of truth, timing, owners, exceptions, and expected result. Celigo organizes integrations as one flow or a group of flows, with connections, exports, imports, lookups, filters, and maps.[1]
A vague goal such as “connect Shopify to NetSuite” is not enough. List what must happen when an order is changed, cancelled, refunded, split, or rejected.
2. How Many Endpoints and Flows Will We Need?
Count every current and planned system. Then map each one-way and two-way data path. Celigo's current paid editions list 20 flows. Standard and Professional list three endpoints, while Enterprise lists unlimited endpoints.[2]
Ask what happens when you add a sales channel, warehouse, legal entity, data store, or custom API. Growth can change the right edition and the final cost.
3. What Must Be Custom?
Separate standard setup from custom work. Ask the demo team to identify every custom map, lookup, script, API call, and business rule.

- Who will maintain the custom work after launch?
- How will changes be tested and moved to production?
4. Are We Buying the Platform, an Integration App, or Both?
Celigo offers platform flows, templates, connectors, and separate Integration Apps. The 30-day platform trial does not include Integration Apps. After the trial, the free plan is limited to two endpoints, one enabled flow, and one production environment.[3]
Ask the quote to name each product. Confirm which flows are enabled, which environments are covered, and which changes require another license.
5. Who Will Handle Errors?
Celigo's integration dashboard shows flow status and supports searching, resolving, retrying, and refreshing errors. Retention depends on the account's plan.[4] Those tools help, but they do not replace an operating process.
Ask who receives alerts, who owns each error type, and how fast the team must respond. Force a failure during the proof of concept. Measure how long a future operator takes to find the cause and recover the record.
6. Which Edition and Add-ons Match Our Needs?
Edition differences go beyond endpoint counts. They include concurrency, environments, SSO, audit logs, execution logs, API Builder, lookup cache, and support. Some features are add-ons in lower editions.

Celigo provides security and compliance material and makes its SOC 2 report available to customers and prospects under a mutual NDA.[5] Request the current documents and review the scope rather than relying on a badge.
Map the records and fields that will pass through the platform. Review data regions, encryption, retention, deletion, user roles, credentials, subprocessors, incident terms, and recovery.
8. What Is the Full Three-Year Cost?
Celigo uses endpoint-and-flow pricing rather than per-task or transaction-volume charges.[6] The complete cost still includes more than the base platform.

- Discovery, setup, data cleanup, and testing
- Training, monitoring, support, and app changes
- Expected growth and renewal terms

9. What Must the Proof of Concept Prove?
In this study, we ran one real process from source to final business result. We included custom fields, a bad record, an API failure, a credential change, and busy-period volume. We also asked a future operator to troubleshoot without help from the builder.

10. Who Will Own Celigo After Launch?
Name a business owner, technical owner, and backup. Define who approves changes, watches errors, rotates credentials, tests app updates, and keeps documentation current.
